I am trying hard to understand whether or not this is jokes.. But either way, i agree with the Vocal Slendr on iTunes, that baffled me a little. But to say that it is unnecessary to make a documentary about the 80% of our population that lives like that is Ignorant. It does not make sense for BBC to document the individuals that live affluently when that is just minority of the population. The reason again for this is NOT cos AIT or NTA cannot air this program. I am pretty sure they do but not under the title "welcome to Lagos" It is a way of bringing global aid to a country that is ridden by corruption. It is not intended to mock our country, but realize that there is so much to be done is parts of the world, cos whether or not you like it these are our fellow citizens and a good number of us are unaware of the fact that they are living in such horrid conditions (I am one of them).
So Yeah if this is a joke, i guess bad one. If not. then tsk tsk.
to "anonymous" if by now i still have to explain if this was supposed to be a joke or not then i'm quite sorry about that #gofigure
..and i dont know what length of the video u might have seen, but if u d jst fastforward to the 8:10 mark,u might get a clearer picture of my position on the issue.
it was never about the video in itself, its about the many that would watch it and believe (as a result of the title) everything contained therein is a clear representation of what the city of Lagos is..which i am believing u know better.
I sincerely hope that the condition of the people featured in the video would improve anytime soon.
i read the blog Moyo..thanks was really insightful
i honestly dont care about the intentions as much - i mean whatever the intentions were doesnt take away from the harsh realities of these peoples' conditions.
